In 1964, Prince Edward is born. That same year, John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline, are guests at Buckingham Palace.
The Silver jubilee is celebrated in 1970 and see’s a crowd of over a million people. The Queen renews her 1947 pledge and the Queen celebrates an exceptional period of popularity.
Prince Charles proposes to Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. In July 1981, Prince Charles marries Diana at St. Paul’ Cathedral with over 600,000 people in the streets.
The Queen celebrates her Golden wedding anniversary with Prince Philip, proclaiming that he has been “my strength and stay all these years”.
In the year 2000, a Mirror reporter acquires an undercover job as a royal footman and reveals to the world the shocking secret that Her Majesty, The Queen, loves Tupperware.
At 81, Queen Elizabeth overtakes Victoria at the UK’s oldest monarch. She is also hailed as the first monarch to travel to the Republic of Ireland in 100 years, in 2011. In 2012, The Queen celebrates her Diamond Jubilee.
In 2022, the Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee.
